Dear Beech Tree Families,

Beech Tree Earns Green Flag Certification Again!

We are thrilled to announce that Beech Tree Elementary has once again earned the EcoSchools U.S. Green Flag Certification — the highest level of recognition in the EcoSchools program!

This achievement celebrates the incredible work of our students, staff, and community in promoting sustainability, environmental stewardship, and civic responsibility throughout our school.

The EcoSchools team praised Beech Tree for:

Strong student leadership and engagement
Community gardening and food waste monitoring initiatives
Trash clean-up and recycling efforts
Partnerships that provided fresh produce to families in need
Student-led biodiversity research and outreach
Whole-school participation in sustainability efforts

This year, our students took meaningful action to make a positive impact both within our school and throughout the wider community. From our Green Team initiatives to our gardens and environmental projects, students demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and a commitment to creating a more sustainable future.

We are incredibly proud of all that our students and staff accomplished this year and are excited to continue growing our environmental programs next year! These programs align with our science curriculum by applying real life application to learning.

A big thank you to our PTA for organizing another successful Spring Fling! It was wonderful to see so many of our students (and some teachers) dancing, laughing, and enjoying time with friends and families. The DJ brought great energy and the beautiful weather could not have been better! Thank you to the PTA and all of the volunteers who helped make this memorable night possible for our Beech Tree community.
