School Supply Kits are now available through 1st Day School Supplies - HERE NOW!
Yes, it feels early - and that’s exactly the point. Skip the last-minute scrambling and August store runs by ordering the exact supplies your child’s teacher requested in just a few simple clicks.
Simply select your child’s grade, and the supplies will arrive packaged and ready to bring to Open House. It’s one less thing to think about over the summer!

6th-grade families are invited to submit a baby photo of their student. It will be used for a game! Also, please submit up to four photos of your student (with or without classmates) for the class slideshow! Please include your student’s name and classroom. School Board Adopts Fiscal Year 2027 Approved Budget
On May 21, the Fairfax County School Board unanimously adopted the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Approved Budget, continuing FCPS’ commitment to sustaining excellence by prioritizing competitive compensation and strategic investments that support student success.
The adopted budget reflects the division’s ongoing efforts to navigate a challenging fiscal environment shaped in part by chronic state underfunding and economic uncertainty. Despite these challenges, the budget maintains key investments and restores several reductions made during the prior fiscal year. Read about the FY 2027 Budget.
Science Olympiad Division B (2026–2027) – Information Session
An information session for parents of students interested in participating in Science Olympiad Division B next year will be held on Friday, June 5, from 4:00–5:00 PM in the Large Pod at school. Students who will be in 5th or 6th grade during the 2026–2027 school year are eligible to participate in Science Olympiad Division B.
