Hey, thanks for your note about the weekend plans. I think we should keep it pretty low-key this time. The weather forecast keeps changing and I don't want to commit to anything outdoors until we know for sure. Maybe brunch somewhere on Saturday? I know a spot that has those ginger pancakes you like. Let me check if they take walk-ins. Also, I saw your message about the book club pick and I totally agree — the pacing was off in the middle chapters but the ending pulled it together. I finished it last night while waiting for my laundry cycle to finish. Honestly I think the author rushed the second half but the character work is still strong. Anyway, let me know what time works for you on Saturday and I'll confirm the place. No rush on the decision though.

Also, can you believe how fast this month has gone? Feels like just yesterday we were planning the last get-together. I still owe you that playlist I promised. I'll send it over tonight once I clean up the track list a bit.

I finally tried that pasta recipe you mentioned a few weeks ago and it turned out really well. I swapped the regular tomatoes for the sun-dried kind and added a bit of basil at the end. The whole kitchen smelled amazing for hours. I also made a side of roasted zucchini with garlic and lemon zest, which paired nicely. Next time I think I will double the sauce because we ended up scraping the bowl clean. Let me know if you have another recipe you recommend trying. I am in the mood to experiment with something new this weekend maybe a soup or a slow braise. Also I started watching that series you told me about the one with the coastal setting and the family mystery. I am only three episodes in but the cinematography is gorgeous and the soundtrack fits the mood perfectly. I can see why you binged it. Let me know if the later seasons hold up as well. I have heard mixed things but I want to form my own opinion. Anyway talk soon and thanks again for the recipe tip.

Oh and I finally organized my bookshelf by color and it looks so much better. I found a few paperbacks I forgot I owned.
