Dear Families,
As we approach the final days of the school year, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your partnership, support, and dedication throughout the year. Together, we have created a learning community where our students have grown academically, socially, and emotionally.
This year has been filled with remarkable achievements, memorable experiences, and countless moments of learning. From classroom projects and performances to field trips, competitions, and school-wide events, our students have demonstrated resilience, creativity, kindness, and a commitment to excellence. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished.
I would also like to recognize our outstanding teachers and staff members, whose hard work and dedication make a positive difference in the lives of our students every day. Their commitment to providing engaging learning experiences and supporting student success has been truly inspiring.
As summer approaches, I encourage families to continue nurturing a love of learning by reading together, exploring new experiences, and enjoying quality time as a family. Summer provides an excellent opportunity for students to rest, recharge, and prepare for the exciting opportunities that await them next year.
Please remember to check our school website and communications for important information regarding summer programs, registration, supply lists, and back-to-school events.
Thank you again for your support and partnership throughout the year. It has been a privilege to serve as your principal. On behalf of our entire staff, I wish you and your family a safe, relaxing, and joyful summer.
With appreciation,
Principal Vega

School Board Adopts Fiscal Year 2027 Approved Budget
On May 21, the Fairfax County School Board unanimously adopted the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Approved Budget, continuing FCPS’ commitment to sustaining excellence by prioritizing competitive compensation and strategic investments that support student success.
The adopted budget reflects the division’s ongoing efforts to navigate a challenging fiscal environment shaped in part by chronic state underfunding and economic uncertainty. Despite these challenges, the budget maintains key investments and restores several reductions made during the prior fiscal year. Read about the FY 2027 Budget.
