I think the flagstone works better than gravel for that garden path near the side gate. We tried both last weekend and the gravel shifted too much, especially near the corner where people walk most often. The flagstone stayed put and looked cleaner overall. For the border, I would suggest using the darker edging to tie it with the patio. Also, we should check the drainage situation before we finalize because that spot near the downspout collects water after a heavy storm.
