Our school hours are 8am-2:45pm. Students will not be able to enter the building until 7:45am.

Congratulations! We are nearing the end of the school year and graduation. We are excited to reach this milestone with you. Please read through this entire announcement as it contains several important dates as well as information on the end of the school year.
Important Dates:
June 1: 9:00am – Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal
10:00am- Scholarship Awards Ceremony
11:00am- Senior Luncheon
June 2: 4:00pm – Graduates report to Centerville High School for Graduation Ceremony
5:00pm – Mountain View High School Graduation, Centreville High School Auditorium
Graduation Information:
Seniors are required to attend graduation rehearsal at Mountain View High School on June 1st at 9am. Following rehearsal, the seniors will report to the auditorium for our scholarship awards ceremony. After the ceremony, lunch will be provided to all graduates in the gym. Caps/gowns will be distributed during lunch in the gym on June 1st. Parents are invited to attend the scholarship awards ceremony at 10am on June 1st.
Senior Dues are $20.00 and must be paid by cash or check in Student Services Office by June 1st. If students have a financial hardship, please contact your school counselor – we do not want to exclude any student from the graduation festivities due to concerns about paying senior dues.
Laptop Return:
All seniors must return their computer and charger by June 1st at 9am. Collection is available on the following dates:
May 28th and 29th – return computer/chargers to main office/Student Services
June 1st beginning at 8am – return computer/chargers in lobby
Guest Information:
Doors to Centreville HS will open at 4:15 pm for guests.
- All guests will be required to walk through our Security Screening System before entering the main building and all bags are subject to search.
- To support a contactless experience, guests are encouraged not to bring bags.
- If a bag is necessary for personal or medical reasons:
- Guests are strongly encouraged to bring a small and/or clear bag to expedite the screening process.
- Please be sure to leave time for parking, security, and finding a seat.
- Guests who arrive after 5:00 pm will not be allowed to enter until graduates are seated.
- So that all guests can enjoy the ceremony, please note that the following items are not permitted in the auditorium:
Prohibited Items
- Weapons of any kind
- Outside food or beverages
- Fireworks or explosives
- Balloons
- Noisemakers
- Non-service animals
- Illegal drugs or controlled substances
- Laser pointers
- Luggage or oversized bags
- Drones or unmanned aircraft systems
- Bottles, cans, containers, or coolers
- Skateboards, rollerblades, or hoverboards
- Projectiles (e.g., frisbees, footballs, inflatable balls)
- Unapproved pamphlets, flyers, or promotional materials
- Flags, banners, or signs that obstruct views
- Poles or sticks of any size, except medical aids (e.g., canes, crutches)

Prohibited Actions
- Standing in aisles or doorways to film or take photographs.
- Using electrical cords, tripods, or selfie sticks for photography or videography
Mountain View HS staff and students did a wonderful job on the theatre production Blood Wedding.

All Fairfax County middle and high school students can get a Student Bus Pass SmarTrip card to ride the Fairfax Connector and Fairfax CUE buses for free! With the pass, fares are free from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, all year. Learn more about the Student Pass and access the application, which can be returned to the front office.

Children 12 and younger ride for free on the Fairfax Connector with a paying adult.
