The Wolf Shack: Summer "Shop the Shack" Student/Family Food Event Next Week!
We Need Your Support!
The Wolf Shack is our PTSA-sponsored in-school food and resource pantry available to Justice students. In the Wolf Shack, we provide FREE snacks, food, toiletries, clothing and other essential resources for ALL students. The Wolf Shack supports more than 1,000 student visits per month and can also be accessed anytime through teachers, social workers and counselors.
To help our Wolves head off for the summer, the Wolf Shack is hosting a summer "Shop the Shack" NEXT WEEK - the first week of June, Tuesday-Thursday - June 2nd, 3rd and 4th from 3-5pm. We will also be open from 2-3pm on Wednesday the 3rd and students who cannot stay after school may obtain passes from teachers or counselors to visit the Wolf Shack and pack bags before dismissal.
We are encourage ALL students to come to the Wolf Shack and pack family bags of FREE family food, snacks, fresh fruit and vegetables and personal care items.
If you'd like to support The Wolf Shack's summer food program (including summer school programs), you can do so in any of the following ways:

Make a financial donation which allows us to fill urgent needs (jhsptsa.org/wolfshackfund)

Drop-off or have any donation delivered to the front office of JHS (just label with "PTSA Wolf Shack")

Purchase directly from our Amazon wish-list and deliver straight to the school (jhsptsa.org/wolfshackwishlist)

Organize a food and toiletry drive through your community, church, clubs and/or service organizations

Mason District Supervisor Andres Jimenez and his staff are supporting The Wolf Shack and our Justice students by hosting a summer toiletry drive out of his office at Mason District Center. They dropped by this week to say hello and drop off the first round of donations in time for our Shop the Shack Summer Event next week! The Wolf Shack depends on our donors, families and community to keep stocked with critical FREE food and resources for ALL Justice students. The All Night Grad Party will be here before you know it— June 8th. All seniors who buy their $10 tickets will be entered into a weekly gift card raffle. The earlier you buy, the more chances you have to win. Tickets go up to $15 on June 1. Seniors register now for only $10.

We’re looking for parents to join the PTSA board and volunteer team for the upcoming school year. Whether you have a few hours a month or want to take on a leadership role, there’s a place for you to make a meaningful impact. Help support our students, connect with other families, and bring great programs to our school community. No experience is necessary—just a willingness to contribute and collaborate!
Open positions include the VP of Communications, Secretary, Treasurer and Social Media Coordinator. We'd also love to find a Volunteer Coordinator.

Volunteer FCPS Helps Community Members Connect With Schools
A new volunteer management system, Volunteer FCPS, will allow students, parents/caregivers, and community members to register and search volunteer opportunities within the school division.
All volunteers (new or returning) will register in Volunteer FCPS, complete a volunteer orientation, and be required to sign in using the visitor kiosk. Some volunteers will also be required to undergo a background check. Visit the Volunteer FCPS website for details.
