I think the Wednesday evening plan works best because more folks confirmed they could make it after work. The community room at the library holds about 30 people and we are expecting around 25 based on the replies so far. We need to finalize the schedule for the next phase of the project. I was thinking we could split into two groups, one handling planting and maintenance, the other focusing on supplies and outreach. The park department confirmed they would donate some mulch and soil which helps stretch our resources further. We should also talk about the best watering schedule for the summer months. Some people prefer early mornings and others like evenings better. We can take a vote at the meeting. Please bring any notes you have from the last session. I will bring printed copies of the updated layout we discussed. We also need to assign someone to track the volunteer hours for the grant report. If you know anyone else who might want to help out, let me know before Wednesday so I can add them to the headcount for seating.

Yeah, I think the hiking trail plan we talked about is coming together well. I checked with a few people and most of them preferred the shorter loop that starts near the ranger station. It is about three miles and has some good views without being too strenuous. We should plan to meet around 8am so we can finish before the afternoon heat sets in. I will bring some snacks and plenty of water for everyone. If anyone wants to bring a lunch, we can stop at the picnic area halfway through. I also looked into the trail conditions and they said the path is mostly dry with a few muddy spots near the creek, so waterproof shoes would be a good idea. Let me know if you want to carpool. I can fit four people in my truck. We will also need to decide on a rain date just in case. Saturday looks clear but Sunday afternoon might have some scattered showers. I will send out a final heads-up the night before to confirm everyone is still good to go.
