I finally started that historical fiction novel you recommended and I can't put it down. The character development is incredible, and the way the author weaves in the political landscape of the era is so seamless. I'm about halfway through and I think I know what's going to happen, but there are still a few layers I'm trying to unravel. The main character's journey is really compelling, especially how she navigates the challenges of the time period. I love how the descriptive language makes the settings feel so vivid without being overly wordy. It's reminding me a bit of that book I read last year about the silk trade, but this one has a much more personal touch. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for the suggestion!
