Yeah the pasta recipe worked out really well. I used penne instead of spaghetti because that's what I had on hand. The sauce was a bit thicker than I expected but the flavor was good. I think I'd add more garlic next time and maybe some fresh basil if I can find it at the store. Prep took about 30 minutes which was fine for a weeknight. I made enough for leftovers the next day which worked out great. Let me know if you have other similar recipes I should try. I'm trying to build up a rotation of meals that don't take too long to make. The ingredient list was pretty simple which I liked. I had most of it already in the pantry anyway.

The only thing I changed was I added a little extra olive oil because the sauce seemed a bit thick. Next time I might try it with some crushed red pepper for a little heat. My family liked it so it's definitely going into the rotation. Let me know what you think about trying it with different pasta shapes next time.

About the raised garden beds I measured the space and I'm going with three 4x8 beds with pathways between them. The soil here is really clay-heavy so I'll need to amend it quite a bit. I found a local nursery that sells compost in bulk which should help. I'm using cedar for the frames since it lasts longer than pine. I'm planning to start building next weekend if the weather cooperates. I'll send you the final dimensions I settled on. Let me know if you want to come by and help or if you have suggestions on what to plant first.

I'm thinking tomatoes and peppers for the summer and then maybe some greens in the fall. I also need to figure out the irrigation situation. A soaker hose setup would probably work best. I'll sketch out the layout and send it over before I start building.
