Oh yeah, we finally got around to repairing that old fence in the backyard. It took us the whole weekend because we had to dig out a couple of stubborn posts that were cemented in pretty deep. The neighbor came over to help which was great because holding those heavy panels in place by myself was a real pain. We ended up using pressure-treated wood so hopefully it lasts a lot longer this time around. It looks a hundred times better than the old one and the yard feels way more private now. We're thinking about planting some climbing roses along the base next spring. The whole project went smoother than I expected once we got the right tools out. Planning to stain it next month before the weather turns too cold.

I just finished that sci-fi novel you recommended called something like The Martian Chronicles but actually it was about a generation ship that lands on the wrong planet. The character development was incredible and the plot twist at the end completely caught me off guard. I think you'd really enjoy the sequel if you haven't read it yet. It gets into the political struggle between the different colonies. I stayed up way too late reading it last week. We should swap books again soon let me know what you're reading right now. I have a whole stack of books I'm trying to get through before the end of the year. Some of them are getting pretty good reviews online so I'm excited to start a new one this weekend.
