I think the best approach for the workshop layout is to keep the main workbench along the north wall so we get the natural light. I measured the space twice and we have about 14 feet of usable wall space there. The shelving units should go on the east side near the door. That way we can store the supplies without blocking the pathway. I checked the inventory list you sent and we have enough lumber for the first phase. The finishing details can wait until later. We also need to think about ventilation since we will be doing some staining. I found a couple of options for portable air filters that might work without needing to modify the building. Let me know if you want me to order those ahead of time so they arrive by next week.

Also I wanted to mention that the new measuring tools you ordered came in yesterday. I checked them against our existing ones and they are very accurate. The digital caliper is especially nice and will be useful for the precision cuts we need for the cabinet doors. I set them aside on the shelf near the window so they are easy to find when we start that part of the project.

I tried that new recipe you mentioned and it turned out really well. The key was letting the dough rest for at least 30 minutes before rolling it out. I also added a bit more seasoning than the recipe called for and that made a big difference. For the sauce, I used the fresh tomatoes from the garden instead of canned ones. Next time I might try adding some roasted garlic to see how it changes the flavor. You asked about the timing so here is what I did. I prepped everything in the morning and then finished cooking about an hour before we ate. The leftovers kept well in the fridge for a couple of days too. Let me know if you want me to send you the modified version with the changes I made.

Also I wanted to mention that the new baking sheets you recommended are working out great. They heat evenly and nothing sticks to them even without greasing. I used them for the cookies last weekend and they came out perfect. The edges were golden and the centers were soft just the way we like them. I think the even heat distribution really helps with consistent results.
