I finally tried that coffee shop downtown you mentioned and it was really good. The latte was smooth and the pastries were fresh. I had a blueberry scone that was still warm. The atmosphere is nice with plenty of seating and good music playing at a reasonable volume. I would suggest going on a weekday morning if you want to avoid the crowd because weekend afternoons get pretty busy. Let me know if you want to meet up there sometime. I think you would enjoy it. They also have a loyalty program which is a nice bonus. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the different roasts they offer. They have pour-over options which I know you like. I started that podcast you recommended and it is really engaging. The storytelling style is unique and the host has a pleasant voice which makes a big difference for long drives. I have listened to about four episodes so far and each one leaves me wanting more. The production quality is impressive with good sound design and pacing. I like how they weave together different perspectives on each topic. It reminds me of that other show we used to listen to but with a fresher approach. I would recommend starting from the beginning because there is some continuity between episodes. Let me know what you think if you give it a try. I also found another similar one that you might enjoy about urban gardening and city planning. It has a completely different format but the same attention to detail.
