Hey, thanks for the note about the backyard project. I finally got the raised beds built last weekend and they look great. We used cedar for the frames and lined the bottom with hardware cloth to keep the critters out. I'm planning to plant tomatoes, peppers, and some herbs this year. The soil mix was pretty straightforward - just equal parts topsoil, compost, and perlite. I found a good local supplier for the compost so it was easy to get what I needed. The whole project took about 6 hours spread over two days. Next weekend I need to set up the drip irrigation system. I saw some good tutorials on YouTube that make it look manageable. Let me know if you want me to send you the plans I used. Also, I finally got around to organizing the garage shelves last night and it feels like a whole new space. I found some old camping gear I forgot we had. It's nice to have everything tidy and easy to find when I need it.

I finally tried that pasta recipe you recommended and it turned out amazing. The key was letting the sauce simmer for a full hour to really develop the flavors. I used San Marzano tomatoes which made a big difference. I added a pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat and finished it with fresh basil from the window plant. My family loved it and my son asked for seconds which never happens with pasta dishes. I'm thinking of making it again this weekend but maybe adding some Italian sausage to change it up. Let me know if you have any other recipes you'd suggest. I've been cooking a lot more at home lately and really enjoying it. Yj4muUvPV9T I also started a small herb garden on the kitchen windowsill with basil, thyme, and rosemary. It's nice having fresh herbs within reach when I'm cooking. I find that cooking from scratch is more rewarding than I expected and it saves time during the week.
