Yeah I think the weekend of the 15th works best for everyone. We can start around 11 and I will handle the main dishes. If you want to bring a side that would be great. I was thinking maybe grilled chicken and some burgers. The weather should be nice so we can eat outside. Let me know if anyone has dietary restrictions I should know about. I will set up some tables and chairs on the patio. We have plenty of parking if people need to drive. I was also going to pick up some drinks but if everyone wants to BYOB that works too. Just let me know what works for you and I will finalize the plans. I think Sarah mentioned she might bring a dessert which would be nice. We can keep it casual and just let people hang out and relax. The kids can play in the backyard while the adults catch up.

I was also thinking we could do a bonfire later in the evening if it cools down. I have plenty of firewood stacked from last winter. We can make s'mores and just enjoy the evening. Let me know if you think that sounds good or if people might want to head out earlier. I want to make sure everyone has a good time.

I looked into the trail you mentioned and it looks like a good option for a Saturday morning. The loop is about 4 miles which should take us a couple of hours at a comfortable pace. I read that the terrain is mostly flat with some gentle inclines so it should be accessible for most fitness levels. We should start early around 8 AM to avoid the afternoon heat. Make sure to bring plenty of water and some snacks. I will bring a backpack with some trail mix and fruit. The parking lot at the trailhead is small so carpooling would be smart. There are some nice viewpoints along the way where we can stop for photos. Let me know if you want to grab lunch after at that new cafe near the park. I think it would be a great way to spend the day.

I checked the weather forecast and it looks clear with temperatures in the mid-70s which should be perfect for hiking. I also wanted to ask if you have a preference for the route we take. There is a shorter loop that goes by the creek or a longer one that goes up to the ridge. Either one would be fine with me. Just let me know what sounds better and I will plan accordingly. We can also decide when we get there if we want to play it by ear.
