Hey, I finally got around to trying that sourdough starter recipe you mentioned. It’s been three days and I’m already seeing bubbles – not sure if that’s normal or if I did something wrong. The smell is surprisingly pleasant, like fresh bread and a hint of yogurt. I used whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose because that’s all I had. Hope it doesn’t ruin the flavor. Let me know how long you usually wait before the first feed. Also, I think I’ll bake this weekend if it keeps going well. Thanks for the tip!

Oh, I completely forgot to ask – how did your weekend hike go? I remember you were a bit worried about the weather. I ended up staying home and finally painted the guest room.
