Hey, just got your message about the weekend — honestly, that sounds perfect. I was thinking we could head up to the lake house and finally get that grill going. I picked up some smoked paprika and a new rub recipe I’ve been dying to try. Let me know if you want to bring the potato salad and that tangy coleslaw you made last time. We can chill on the porch and not rush anything. I also found a board game in the attic that no one has opened yet — could be a disaster or the highlight of the trip. Either way, I’m in. Let me know what works for you.
Oh, and bring your hiking boots if you want — the trail along the ridge is clear now and the views are supposed to be incredible this time of year. We can take it easy, maybe stop at the little diner on the way back. No pressure on any of it. Just good company and slow days. Let me know your ETA and I’ll have coffee ready. Also, WBtzZMitFF2 if you grab that bag of coffee beans from the local roaster, I’ll cover it. Can’t wait.

I finally tried that documentary you recommended — the one about the old train routes through the Alps. Honestly, I wasn't sure I'd stay awake for the whole thing but it was surprisingly gripping. The footage they restored from the 1920s was incredible and the way they wove in the engineering stories kept me hooked. I ended up watching it twice because I missed some of the details the first time. The bit about the viaduct construction and how they navigated political borders back then was wild. I've already started looking up more content from that director. Let me know if you have any other hidden gems like that one. I'm officially on a roll and could use more recommendations. Also, I think I'm going to finally attempt that sourdough starter this week. Wish me luck. I'll let you know how it goes — or if my kitchen turns into a flour bomb.
