Hey, thanks for your message earlier. I finally tried that new ramen spot on Grand Avenue you recommended. I went with the tonkotsu miso bowl and honestly it was incredible — the broth was rich without being too heavy. The soft egg on top was perfect. They also have these crispy gyoza that come with a chili oil dip that has a nice slow burn. I’m already planning to go back next week to try their tantanmen. Let me know if you want to join. The place is usually quiet around 2 p.m. so it’s easier to get a seat then. Anyway, I’m glad I finally checked it out. I owe you one for the tip.

Also I found a small bookstore a few doors down from there that has a pretty good selection of sci-fi paperbacks. I picked up a used copy of something I had never heard of before and it ended up being a great read. Have you been in there? They have a cat that sleeps on the counter near the register. Friendly little guy. I might go back this weekend just to browse again.

Let me know what you think about the ramen place if you go again soon. I’d love to hear if their spicy miso lives up to the hype.

Hey, I finally got around to organizing my garage over the weekend and it took way longer than I expected. I started with just wanting to clear a corner so I could park my bike inside, but one thing led to another and I ended up pulling everything out and sorting it all. I found three boxes of old books I forgot I had, a tennis racket with a broken string, and a lamp that might actually be worth fixing. I threw away a ton of stuff that was just collecting dust. By Sunday evening I was exhausted but it felt good to have everything back in order. My neighbor came over and borrowed my ladder which was nice because it gave me an excuse to stop for a bit. I think I’m going to try to keep it this tidy for at least a few weeks. I also found an old photo album from a trip I took years ago and spent an hour just flipping through it. I forgot how much fun that trip was. Anyway just thought I’d share since you mentioned you’ve been meaning to clean out your own space. It’s a lot of work but definitely worth it. Let me know if you end up tackling yours.
