I just finished that book you recommended last week. Honestly, I was not sure about it at first but by the third chapter I was completely hooked. The way the author describes the coastal town makes you feel like you are standing right there on the pier. I stayed up way too late finishing it last night. Have you read anything else by the same writer? I would love to get another suggestion if you have one. Also, I finally tried that pasta recipe you sent me and it turned out great. Even my kids liked it and they are usually picky about new dishes. We should catch up properly soon. Maybe we can plan a weekend trip to the lake this summer.

The garden is really coming along this spring. I planted tomatoes and peppers last weekend and they are already showing new growth. The roses are blooming earlier than last year which is nice. I have been spending more time outside since the weather warmed up. It has been a good change of pace. Let me know if you want any cuttings from the lavender bush. Oh and I finally watched that documentary series you mentioned. The cinematography was stunning and I learned a lot about ocean ecosystems. Some parts were hard to watch but overall very informative. Let us plan a hike soon. I found a new trail that is supposed to have great views of the valley.
