I finally got around to watching that documentary you recommended. It was really well done, though I had to pause a few times to look up some of the historical context. The cinematography was stunning, especially the aerial shots. My partner and I ended up discussing it for hours afterward. We both agreed that the pacing could have been a bit tighter in the middle section, but the ending more than made up for it. I also read the book it was based on and noticed a few differences that I actually preferred in the film. Let me know if you've seen any other good ones lately. I'm in the mood for something lighter next time. Maybe a comedy or a travel documentary. Also, I tried that new Italian place on Main Street and the pasta was amazing. You should check it out if you haven't already. Their tiramisu is to die for. Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts. Talk later.

Oh, that reminds me of something funny that happened at the farmers market last weekend. I was trying to pick out the best avocados and this little old lady came up and started giving me her entire avocado-ripeness philosophy. She was so earnest and detailed. I ended up following her advice and bought three. They turned out perfect. I also got a bunch of fresh herbs and made a really good pesto. The recipe was from that blog I follow – super easy. Just basil, pine nuts, parmesan, garlic, and olive oil. I froze half for later. Have you ever tried freezing pesto? It works surprisingly well. Anyway, I thought you'd get a kick out of that market encounter. Also, I finally ordered that new book you mentioned. It came yesterday and I'm already a hundred pages in. The writing is beautiful. I'll let you know when I finish so we can discuss. Hope you're having a great week.
