Yeah I finally got around to trying that new hiking trail up near the ridge. Honestly the views were incredible even though I started later than planned. The weather held up nicely and I only ran into a few other people the whole way up. There’s this one spot near the top where you can see the whole valley spread out and it’s just peaceful you know. I brought sandwiches and just sat there for about an hour taking it all in. The descent was a bit tricky because some of the rocks were loose but nothing too serious. I should go more often but life gets in the way of these plans. Anyway if you ever want to join let me know. I’m thinking of going back next weekend maybe try a different loop that connects from the east side. Supposedly there’s a small waterfall if you take the longer route through the forest section. Might be worth checking out if the weather stays nice. Let me know what you think about going.
You know that documentary I mentioned last week I finally watched it last night and honestly it was better than I expected. The storytelling felt really genuine and the cinematography was stunning especially the underwater segments they filmed. I wasn’t sure about the pacing at first but it really picked up in the second half and kept me engaged. There’s this one interview that just completely shifts your perspective on the whole topic they were exploring. I ended up staying up way later than I planned because I couldn’t stop watching. I think you’d really enjoy it too based on what you told me about your interest in the subject. We should watch it together sometime if you haven’t seen it yet. I’ve also been reading this interesting novel set in the 1920s about a traveling musician crossing the country. The writing style is so immersive and vivid it feels like you’re right there in the room with the characters he meets along the way. Let me know if you want to borrow it when I’m done with it.
