The ranger said they expect it to reopen in a few weeks. We can still do the full loop if we start early. I’ll bring the packed lunch and extra water. Let me know if you want to meet at the trailhead at 7 am or later. Also, if we have time we could stop by the lookout point on the way back. I heard the view is clear now.

Actually, I've been experimenting with sourdough hydration lately. For my last batch I used 80% hydration and it turned out really open crumb but a bit sticky to handle. I think the trick is to fold it more times during bulk fermentation. Also I added a little whole wheat which gave it a nice nutty flavor. If you want the exact recipe I can send it over.
