I finally got around to building that raised garden bed in the backyard. I used cedar boards since they're naturally rot-resistant and look great. The whole project took about three hours, including cutting the wood to size and assembling it with metal corner brackets. I made it roughly 4 feet by 8 feet, which gives me plenty of space. I filled it with a mix of topsoil and compost from the local nursery. I'm planning to plant tomatoes, peppers, and basil next spring, maybe some cucumbers too. It's going to be great having fresh produce right outside the kitchen door. Let me know if you want help building one for your place. We finally watched the new season of that detective series everyone is talking about. I have to say, the plot twists in the last two episodes completely caught me off guard. The cinematography was stunning too, especially the night scenes shot in the old city. We binged the whole season over the weekend. I think the character development is what really sets it apart from other shows in the genre. The main actress delivers such a nuanced performance. Have you watched it yet? If not, I highly recommend going in without reading too much about it. The mystery unfolds in a really satisfying way. I also started reading the book it was based on, and surprisingly, the show diverges quite a bit after the first few chapters. Both are excellent in their own right.
