Hey, I finally got around to trying that pasta recipe you sent. It turned out really well even though I swapped the mushrooms for bell peppers. The sauce was a bit thick so I added some pasta water. Next time I might add a pinch of chili flakes. I also wanted to ask about your trip — did you guys end up going to the botanical garden or did the weather change your plans?

We had a similar issue with the new coffee maker where the brew basket didn't sit right. Turns out there was a small plastic piece that needed to be removed. I can send you a photo if that helps. Anyway, thanks again for the tip on the storage bins; we finally organized the garage and it's actually usable now.

Let me know if you want to catch up this weekend. I'm free Saturday afternoon if the pool is open. Otherwise maybe a quick hike if that's better.

I think the best approach is to just start fresh with a new project plan. I know you were leaning toward the modular shelves but after measuring the alcove it only fits 22 inches deep. The ones you liked need 24 inches. Maybe look at the narrower option from that Scandinavian brand?

Also I finally used that sourdough starter you gave me. It took three feeds to get active but then the first loaf came out with a beautiful ear. I used rice flour for dusting and it didn't stick at all. The crumb was open and chewy. I'll drop off a half loaf when I come by on Thursday.

By the way, I heard the local library is doing a seed swap next Saturday. Might be a fun thing to check out with the kids. They have herbs and native wildflowers. Let me know if you want to go together.
