Hey, I just saw your message about the weekend plans. Honestly, I'm swamped right now with this big landscaping project I started last week.

We're completely overhauling the front yard, putting in a whole new flower bed along the front walkway. I've been digging out old roots and amending the soil for days now. My back is killing me, but it's going to look absolutely brilliant when it's done.

I'm thinking of putting in some hydrangeas and maybe a few dwarf boxwoods for structure and year-round greenery. Have you ever grown hydrangeas? I hope they take well in this climate, I've been watching a ton of videos on soil pH and pruning.

Anyway, I'm rambling at this point. Let me know if you're free next weekend instead, I should be mostly done by then and we can finally fire up the grill and enjoy the yard. Hope you're doing well and staying out of trouble! Talk soon. WkYgr3myFjGF

I finally sat down to read that book you recommended last month, the one about the history of mapmaking and early exploration. It is absolutely fascinating.

I had no idea how much of the ancient world's trade and conquest relied on a few crucial maps that were often hilariously wrong or entirely based on speculation. There was this one chapter about the Piri Reis map that completely blew my mind. The detail in it and the mystery surrounding its sources are incredible.

It makes me want to travel more, just to see the places talked about in the book, maybe plan a trip for next spring. Work has been pretty standard, just grinding through Q2 projects and deadlines.

I did take a long weekend trip to the coast last month, just to get away from the desk for a few days and breathe some ocean air. It was exactly what I needed to reset. We should definitely catch up properly soon, maybe grab a coffee or a beer next week sometime. Let me know what works for you.
