I finally understand why everyone was talking about that sourdough starter. It really does take on a life of its own. I've been feeding mine for weeks and it's like a pet that demands attention at odd hours. The first loaf was a dense brick, but the second one had a decent crumb. My neighbor gave me some of her rye flour to try, which made the flavor much more complex. I'm thinking of trying a discard pancake recipe this weekend since I hate throwing any of it away. The whole process is surprisingly meditative, especially the kneading. e7BHGAIkchyzN It feels good to create something tangible with your hands, even if it takes a few tries to get right. I've been watching a lot of tutorials online, and everyone seems to have a slightly different method, but the core principles are the same. Patience, temperature, and hydration levels seem to be the secret to a good loaf. I think I'll stick with it for a while and see how much I can improve.

I spent the weekend reorganizing my home office and finally tackled the cable mess behind my desk. It was a chaotic tangle of charging cables, monitor wires, and ethernet cords that looked like a nest. I bought some velcro ties and a cable management tray that mounts under the desk, and it made a huge difference. I also moved my desk closer to the window so I can get more natural light during the day. The whole room feels much more spacious and conducive to focusing. I still need to figure out some wall art for the space above the monitor, but I'm leaning towards something minimalist that doesn't create too much visual clutter. Maybe a simple floating shelf with a small plant. I'm also considering upgrading my desk lamp to something with a warmer color temperature to reduce eye strain during late-night work sessions. Overall, it's a work in progress, but the improvements have already made my daily workflow much more pleasant. I found a great podcast about productivity that gave me the motivation to tackle it in the first place.
