Hey, I finally got around to trying that hiking trail we talked about last month. It was absolutely stunning with all the wildflowers out. We packed a simple lunch but forgot the water filter, so we turned back earlier than expected. Still, it was great to get outside. I'm thinking about getting new boots because my old ones are worn out at the soles. Let me know if you want to come along next weekend! Also, I started reading that sci-fi series you recommended, and the second book really picks up the pace. The world-building is incredible, though I get lost in the political intrigue sometimes. I finally finished reorganizing my workshop, and it feels like a completely new space. I built some custom shelves for all the small parts bins and hung a pegboard for the frequently used tools. It took the better part of a weekend, but now I can actually find things without digging through three different boxes. My next project is probably going to be a small workbench with a vise for some woodworking I've been wanting to try. I found a couple of decent plans online that look straightforward enough for a beginner. I think I already have most of the lumber I need left over from the fence repair last spring. Just need to pick up some proper hardware for the joints. Anyway, the reorganization was long overdue and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.
