I was just thinking about what you mentioned the other day regarding the hiking trail. I actually went there last weekend 7mLQpgnVA7Al and it was beautiful. The weather was perfect and the views from the summit were incredible. There's a nice spot about halfway up where you can rest and have a snack. I'd recommend going early in the morning to avoid the crowds. We got there around 7am and had the trail mostly to ourselves. The parking lot was full by the time we came down though. If you decide to go on a weekday it's even quieter. There's a small creek about a mile in that's a great place to stop and take photos. The trail is well marked so you won't get lost. Just bring plenty of water and some snacks. The elevation gain is gradual so it's not too strenuous. I think you'd really enjoy it.
