Yeah, the alternator went out completely just outside of Flagstaff. We were stranded for about three hours before a tow truck could get to us. The mechanic said it was a fairly straightforward fix but parts took a while to ship. We ended up staying an extra night at a little motel. The highlight was definitely the alien-themed diner we found for breakfast. Their green chile omelet was incredible. The town itself had this quirky charm. Hope you guys are having better luck on your end. Let me know when you're free next week. We should definitely catch that new documentary at the Alamo Drafthouse. Let me know what you think!
Also, I finally finished reading that sci-fi novel you lent me. The pacing was a bit slow in the middle, but the ending completely blew my mind. I didn't see that twist coming at all. We should grab coffee soon so I can return it and hear your take on the final chapters.

I finally got around to setting up the new board game we talked about. It's a cooperative deck-building game where everyone has to work together to survive a zombie outbreak. The mechanics are surprisingly deep for how easy it is to pick up. We played four rounds back to back and didn't even realize three hours had passed. The art on the cards is gorgeous too. I think you'd really like the strategy element. It's less about luck and more about timing your moves right. Anyway, we should plan a game night soon. Let me know if you're in!
Also, I tried that new ramen place downtown. The broth was incredibly rich and the pork belly melted in your mouth. The atmosphere was really cozy too, with all the lanterns and wood panels. Definitely worth the wait.
