Yeah I totally get what you mean about the weather shifting so fast. We had planned a picnic for Saturday and then suddenly it was all clouds and wind so we just moved everything indoors. Honestly it ended up being way more fun because we pulled out board games and ended up laughing for hours. I think we overthink outdoor plans sometimes when staying in is just as good if not better. Next time you're thinking of doing something outside maybe just have a backup spot inside so you don't have to cancel entirely. The key is just being flexible and not getting too attached to one idea. My sister always says the best memories come from the unplanned moments and I'm starting to believe her. Anyway let me know what you end up doing this weekend. I might try that new ramen place everyone keeps talking about. If it's good I'll send you the name. Hope your week is winding down nicely and you're not buried in work stuff. Talk soon.

Oh I was just thinking about the conversation we had last week about starting a small herb garden on the balcony. I finally went ahead and picked up a few pots and some soil over the weekend. I got basil mint and chives to start because apparently those are the easiest for beginners. The lady at the nursery said they just need decent sunlight and not too much water which is perfect for my schedule. I already repotted them and put them by the window that gets the morning sun. Fingers crossed they don't die on me. It's actually kind of calming to have something green to check on every day. If this works out I might try tomatoes next but that feels like a bigger commitment. Anyway I'll send you a photo once they start looking like actual plants instead of just dirt with twigs. Let me know if you want me to grab you some starter pots too.
