Hi there — yes, I finally got around to planting those tomatoes last weekend. The weather was perfect, just enough sun and a little breeze. I ended up putting in six plants, three Roma and three cherry. I made sure to mix in some compost before planting, and I even set up a simple drip system so I don't have to remember to water every day. So far they look happy, but I know the real test comes when the heat hits August. A friend told me to mulch heavily, so I did that too. I also started a few basil seeds in little pots on the windowsill. They are just now showing their first true leaves. It feels good to finally have a garden again after a couple of years of neglecting the yard. I will send you pictures once things really take off. Hope your own planting went well this spring.

We finally tried that pasta recipe you sent me last month and it turned out great. I made a few small changes — used sun-dried tomatoes instead of fresh and added a bit of chili flake for heat. The whole family loved it, even the kids who usually pick around vegetables. I served it with a simple side salad and some crusty bread. We will definitely be making it again. I also finally watched that documentary you recommended. It was slower than I expected, but the cinematography was stunning and the ending really stuck with me. Let me know if you have any other suggestions. I am always looking for something good to watch on a quiet evening. Also, I started that book you gave me last year and I cannot believe I waited so long to read it.
