I also found some old photos from our trip to the mountains a few years back. Made me want to plan another getaway soon. The weather was perfect that week, and we spent most of our time hiking and cooking meals together at the cabin. The kids still talk about that trip all the time.

I just finished reading that mystery novel everyone's been talking about. I went in with pretty high expectations, and honestly, it delivered. The twist around chapter 14 caught me completely off guard, which almost never happens. I usually figure things out way before the reveal, but this one had me fooled. The character development was solid too — the main detective has this dry sense of humor that kept me laughing despite the dark subject matter. I stayed up way too late on a weeknight because I couldn't put it down. Have you read it yet? If you like thrillers with clever plotting and good dialogue, I think you'd enjoy it. I'm already looking for something similar to read next. Maybe I'll try one of the author's earlier books. I heard they're just as good, if not better.
