Thanks for the update on the hiking trail conditions. I haven't had a chance to get out there since the weather shifted, so that's really helpful to know. We should plan a day trip soon—maybe next Saturday if the forecast holds. Owen has been asking about going for weeks, and I think the change of scenery would do us all some good. I've been meaning to ask you about that spot near the old bridge; is it still blocked off, or did the parks department clear it out? Let me know what you think. Also, I finally tried that barbecue place you mentioned last month. The brisket was incredible—definitely worth the wait. We should grab lunch there before heading out to the trail. Anyway, let me know if Saturday works for you and your family. We can pack a picnic and make a full day of it. Hope everyone is doing well.

Yeah, I finished the book you lent me last night. It definitely picked up in the second half—I was not expecting that twist at all, though I should have seen it coming with all the clues about the neighbor. Honestly, the author did a great job keeping the tension just below the surface. I'm going to start the sequel tomorrow if I can find some free time between work and the new art class I signed up for. Have you read the sequel yet? I heard mixed reviews, but I want to form my own opinion. By the way, that playlist you sent me has been on repeat all week. Perfect background music for reading and winding down in the evenings. I added a few tracks from a band I stumbled across last weekend; I think they fit the vibe. Anyway, thanks again for the recommendation. I really needed a good book to escape into. Let me know what you're reading next.
