Yeah, I finally got around to upgrading the camera body. Ended up going with a used mirrorless setup because the weight savings are huge. Took it out to the trail last weekend and the autofocus is a game changer. Didn't expect to run into that much mud though. I'll send you a few of the best shots once I finish editing. Let me know what you think of the colors — I'm still messing with the export settings. The old lens actually works fine with the adapter, so that saved a bit of cash. Anyway, we should plan another trip soon before the weather turns. Let me know when you're free.

Oh man, I totally forgot to ask about your sister's recital. Was it as good as last year? Ours had that one kid who played the same four notes for five minutes straight. Anyway, we finally finished that bookshelf I was telling you about. Took way longer than expected because we decided to add molding to the top. Looks pretty slick now though, even if I did smash my thumb with the hammer. Next project is definitely going to be something easier, like a birdhouse or something. Let me know if you want to borrow the nail gun.
