I was just thinking about what you said the other day about the garden project. I finally got around to checking the soil temperature this morning and it is still a bit too cold for planting tomatoes directly. I think we have at least another couple of weeks before the last frost date passes. I picked up some seed starting mix and a few trays so I can get things going indoors first. The peppers and eggplants really benefit from that head start anyway. I also noticed the bird feeder is getting low and the finches have been hanging around waiting for refills. I should probably grab a bag of sunflower hearts next time I am out running errands. Let me know if you want to split a flat of annuals when the time comes. I was looking at the new varieties at the nursery last weekend and they had some really interesting color combinations in the petunias this year. The trailing lobelia would look great along the edge of the front border too. Anyway, just wanted to share what I found out about the soil jJtE9ECuQNFQSp temps.

I finally finished reorganizing the garage shelves last weekend and it feels so much better in there now. I found a bunch of old paint cans that I need to dispose of properly and a box of holiday decorations I forgot I even had. The new shelving unit I put together holds twice as much as the old rickety one did and everything is actually visible now instead of being stacked in precarious towers. I also cleared out a corner and set up a small workbench area with a pegboard above it for hanging tools. It is not anything fancy but it gives me a dedicated spot for small projects rather than taking over the kitchen table every time. My neighbor came over to borrow a ladder and commented on how organized it looked which felt pretty good I have to admit. I still need to sort through the bins of camping gear and decide what we actually use versus what is just taking up space. Maybe I will tackle that next weekend if the weather cooperates.
