Yeah, I finally got around to planting those tomato seeds you recommended. I went with the Better Boy variety since they are supposed to do well in our zone. The soil temp has been hovering around 65 at night so I felt good about planting. I also put in a few pepper plants on the south side of the house where they will get full sun. The raised bed I built last weekend is working out better than I expected. I lined the bottom with hardware cloth to keep the critters out. Next weekend I am going to start on the herb garden. I found a great deal on basil and oregano starts at the local nursery. Rosemary I will start from seed since it is cheaper that way. Let me know if you want me to grab anything extra when I go back. I am planning to mulch everything with straw once the plants are established. The drip irrigation system I set up is on a timer so I do not have to worry about watering when I am at work. So far so good with the whole setup. Thanks for the tips on soil amendments. I mixed in some compost and a bit of bone meal. The plants seem really happy so far.

I finally caught up on that series you told me about. I have to say the first season was a bit slow but it really picks up around episode four. The character development is what sold me. The lead actor does an amazing job with the subtle expressions. I binged the last five episodes in one sitting which I never do anymore. The plot twists were genuinely surprising. I thought I had it figured out but they pulled a fast one on me. The cinematography is gorgeous too. Lots of long shots of the landscape that really set the mood. I think you would like the soundtrack as well. It is mostly ambient with a few folk songs mixed in. I added a couple of tracks to my playlist. Have you watched the behind-the-scenes featurette yet. It is worth it just to see how they did the practical effects. Most of it is real sets and makeup which is rare these days. I am glad you pushed me to watch it. I was skeptical at first but now I am hooked. Let me know when you want to start the next season. We could watch it together.
