Hey, about the community garden layout you asked about. I measured the main plot and it's about 20 by 30 feet. I think we should section it into four quadrants with a central compost area. The sun exposure is best on the south and west sides, so tomatoes and peppers should go there. I talked to the nursery and they can donate some starter plants if we get the beds ready by next week. We also need to figure out the irrigation setup. I can pick up a soaker hose this weekend if you want to split the cost. Let me know what you think of the quadrant idea and if you have time to help mark the beds on Saturday morning.

I finally finished that woodworking project I was telling you about. It's a small bookshelf with a mid-century modern design. The joinery was tricky because I used through tenons, but the walnut grain worked out beautifully. I still need to apply a few coats of tung oil to bring out the depth of the wood. My workshop is a mess though. I'm planning to build a matching coffee table next. I found some plans online that adjust the scale to fit my living room. If you're interested, I can send you the link to the plans.
