yes I think the hike up to the ridge would work well for Saturday morning. I checked the trail conditions and they said the path is mostly clear with a few muddy spots near the creek crossing. We should plan to start around seven so we beat the afternoon heat. I can bring the trail map and a few snacks if everyone chips in for drinks. Let me know if you want to invite your neighbor along. They mentioned they were interested in trying a longer route. We should probably also pack an extra layer since the wind picks up once we get above the tree line. I will send a confirmation on Friday evening once I hear back from the rest of the group. parking is available at the main lot but it fills up fast on weekends so arriving early is important.

the recipe turned out better than I expected after I adjusted the oven temperature. I used a bit less salt than what they called for and added a pinch of smoked paprika for depth. The key is letting the mixture rest for about ten minutes before serving so the flavors settle. I think we could double the batch for the potluck next week if everyone brings a side dish. Let me know what you think of the suggestion. I am planning to test a variation with roasted peppers this weekend to see if it works as a topping for the flatbreads. I will send you a note once I have the results. also I found a good source for whole grain flour at the market on Elm Street if you want to try baking the loaf again.
