We are still on for Saturday. I think starting around three would work best since the weather should be nice by then. I was thinking we could keep the menu simple with burgers and hot dogs plus a few sides. Sarah mentioned she would bring her potato salad and Mark volunteered to bring drinks. If you could grab some charcoal and maybe a couple of extra chairs that would help a lot. I have a large cooler we can use for ice and beverages. The backyard is looking good after I mowed and trimmed everything yesterday. I might set up the croquet set if people want to play something casual. Just let me know if there is anything specific you want to contribute or if you have any dietary restrictions I should plan for. I will send out a reminder to everyone on Friday with the details. Looking forward to it.

I went with the pine board option since it was more affordable and takes paint really well. I sanded everything down with 120 grit then moved to 220 for a smooth finish. The whole project took about two weekends mostly because I had to wait for the primer and paint to dry between coats. I used a dark gray color for the frame and white for the backing which gives it a nice contrast. You could definitely build it in a weekend if you had all the materials ready and used a nail gun instead of hand nailing. The most important part is making sure your shelf brackets are level and properly secured to the wall studs. I found that pre-drilling pilot holes made a big difference in preventing the wood from splitting. If you want I can send you the cut list and plans I used. Just measure your space first and let me know the dimensions.
