I was thinking about that garden project you mentioned last week. I finally got around to planting some herbs and they are doing really well. The basil and mint are sprouting like crazy. I had to move them to a bigger pot because they outgrew the starter tray. The rosemary is a bit slow but I think it just needs more sunlight. I'm planning to try some tomatoes next. I decided to take up photography as a hobby and it has been really eye-opening. I started with just my phone camera but then I borrowed a DSLR from a friend. The difference is huge. I've been going to parks early in the morning to catch the sunrise and the light is perfect for landscape shots. I'm still learning about aperture and shutter speed. There is so much to remember. But the creative side is what I enjoy most. I found a great online community that gives weekly challenges. Last week the theme was textures. I photographed tree bark, old bricks, and rusted metal. It sounds weird but it turned out artistic. My photos are getting better slowly. I might take a short course next month if I can find one. It feels good to have a project that is just for fun.
