Yeah, the trail was pretty muddy after all that rain we had last week. I ended up switching to my older boots because I didn't want to ruin the new ones. The weather held up okay for us though, just a little drizzle in the afternoon. We packed sandwiches but forgot the napkins, classic move. The wildflowers were really starting to pop along the creek. I think next time we should definitely start earlier to beat the heat. You should see the pictures I got of the hawk circling overhead, it was incredible. Anyway, thanks for asking about the trip, it was exactly what I needed. Hope you guys are doing well too and maybe we can plan something together soon. Let me know what your weekend looks like. qd9LOg5BiIRr I was telling my brother about that spot and he might want to come along too if we go again.

I finally finished that series you recommended. I have to say, the first book was a bit slow for me, but once I got past the middle of the second one, I was completely hooked. The character development of the main antagonist was surprisingly nuanced, almost sympathetic until the end. The world-building was incredibly dense, sometimes a little too descriptive, but it paid off in the later conflicts. I don't think I've read such a unique take on the concept of inherited memory before. It really makes you think about how history shapes identity. Have you read the spin-off novels yet? I heard they focus on a secondary character from the main trilogy. Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts because your taste in books is usually spot on. Let me know if you've found anything else good lately.
