Thanks for asking about the community garden plots. I checked with the coordinator this morning and she confirmed that the raised beds along the southern fence line will be available starting next month. They have a mix of full sun and partial shade, so if you are planning tomatoes or peppers you will want the sunnier spots. The soil was amended last fall with compost from the municipal yard waste program and they ran a pH test that came back around 6.8 which is decent for most vegetables. Water access is via a hose station at each end of the row and there is a shed with basic tools you can borrow. They ask that you sign up for a specific plot and commit to keeping it maintained through October. There is a small deposit for the key to the shed but you get it back when you return the key at the end of the season. If you want I can send you the link to the online reservation system.

I looked into the parking situation for the concert next weekend and here is what I found. The main lot near the amphitheater opens at four in the afternoon and costs fifteen dollars cash only. There is a secondary lot about a five minute walk from the venue that opens at five and is ten dollars. That one tends to fill up fast so I would recommend arriving by four thirty if you want a spot there. Street parking is available on the side streets south of the park but you need to check the signs carefully because some sections require a residential permit after six. I usually aim for the lots just to avoid circling. If you want to carpool from my place we can leave around three thirty and that should give us plenty of time to park and walk over before the opener starts.
