I really enjoyed the backyard project this weekend. The weather was perfect and everything came together better than expected. I spent the whole time adjusting the irrigation lines and trimming the hedge. My assistant was a huge help holding the ladder and handing me tools. We laughed a lot when the hose sprayed us both. I think next weekend I will tackle the flower beds along the driveway. There’s a lot of weeding to do but it will look great when done.

I think the best part of the weekend was the barbecue on Saturday evening. We had some neighbors over and everyone brought a side dish. The ribs turned out amazing with that new rub I tried. I made a double batch of coleslaw and it was gone in minutes. We stayed up late talking around the fire pit.
