I totally forgot to ask you about the book club meeting last night. I wish I could have made it, but the traffic was absolutely terrible coming home from work. Did everyone agree on the next read? I heard someone suggested that new mystery novel set in Iceland. I've been looking for a good page turner, so I'm hoping that one wins. Also, I wanted to thank you for the recommendation on the gardening podcast. I listened to the episode about heirloom tomatoes, and now I am thinking about starting my own little herb garden on the balcony. Let me know if you want to come over this weekend and help me pick out some pots.
I think starting with basil and mint would be the easiest for a beginner like me. The podcast mentioned they grow quickly and don't need too much direct sunlight. My balcony gets plenty of morning light though, so maybe I can branch out to some peppers later in the season. Let me know your thoughts on soil brands too, I want to get the good stuff.

Thanks for sending over those photos from the beach trip last weekend. The sunset shots turned out incredible, especially the one with the silhouettes of the pier. I already set one as my phone wallpaper. I was thinking we should definitely plan another trip before summer ends. Maybe we could check out that state park you mentioned with the hiking trails and the hidden waterfall. I looked it up online, and it only takes about an hour to get there from the city.
We could pack a picnic and make a whole day of it. I can bring that portable speaker and a blanket. Let me know what you think and if your schedule is open next Saturday.
