I think the best way to approach this is to just be direct. We tried going through the normal steps but kept hitting roadblocks with the scheduling system. The team agreed it would be easier to start fresh rather than try to patch something together last minute. I know we discussed this briefly last week, but now that the timeline has shifted, it changes things quite a bit. Honestly, I'm glad we waited because the new requirements make a lot more sense given the overall landscape of the project. Let me know if you think we should loop in any other departments early on.
