Actually I think the best way to approach that is to just start with what you know and build from there. I remember you mentioned you tried a similar thing last spring and it didn't quite work out because the timing was off. But now the conditions are different and you have more experience so I honestly believe you can pull this off. Just take it step by step and don't overthink the details. The prep work is going to be key and if you carve out a little time each day it won't feel overwhelming. I told my brother about your plan and he said the same thing — just start and adjust as you go. There is no perfect moment to begin. You have all the pieces already you just need to put them in motion. Let me know if you want me to look over the list you put together last week. I have some thoughts that might help simplify a few steps.

Oh I completely forgot to tell you about the thing with the shelf. I was trying to put it together last weekend and the instructions were basically useless. The diagrams showed parts that didn't match what was in the box and I spent about an hour just sorting pieces on the floor. Eventually I just started matching things by shape and it actually came together better than I expected. My neighbor walked over while I was working on it and said the same thing happened to him with a similar set. He ended up leaving out two screws and it still held fine. I think sometimes you have to ignore the manual and trust your instincts. The whole project took longer than I thought but now it looks really good in the corner of the room. I sent a photo to my sister and she asked where I got it. So that felt like a win. Anyway if you ever decide to get one I can save you the headache of those terrible instructions. Just let me know.
