Hey, thanks for asking about the lawn project. I ended up going with a mix of fescue and ryegrass, and it's really filling in nicely now. The soil here is pretty clay-heavy, so I had to aerate first and add some topsoil. GP0BBKvTeCJ5fC It took a whole weekend just to prep the ground. I still need to figure out the best way to keep the birds away from the new seed. I tried one of those reflective tapes but the wind tangled it up. Maybe I should just get a net. Anyway, let me know if you want to borrow the aerator, it's just sitting in the shed now. I also found a decent deal on a hose reel that mounts right on the wall, which freed up a ton of floor space. Let's catch up properly this weekend.

I started reading that book you mentioned, the one about the history of maps. It's fascinating how much guesswork was involved. The author spends a lot of time on the early nautical charts, some of which were hilariously wrong. I also found a podcast that covers similar ground, mostly focusing on how explorers prepared for voyages. It makes you appreciate GPS. Anyway, I'm about halfway through, and I'll pass it along to you when I'm done. Let me know if you want me to drop it off next week.
