Yes I think the timing for the trail maintenance day should work out well. We have about eight volunteers confirmed so far and that should be enough to clear the lower switchbacks and rebuild two of the culverts. The forecast looks dry for Saturday morning which is good because the upper section gets muddy quickly after rain. I already spoke with the ranger station about borrowing some tools and they said they can lend us a few rakes and loppers. We will need to bring our own gloves and water. Also I wanted to ask if you still have that collapsible saw. It might make cutting through the smaller fallen branches a lot faster. We can meet at the main trailhead just after sunrise. I will bring coffee and bagels for everyone. Let me know if you think we should postpone if the wind picks up. The ridge tends to get gusty by midday.

I looked into the volunteer schedule for the community garden plots this season. The coordinator mentioned that we can start preparing the soil beds around the second week of April. We have four raised beds that need fresh compost and two more that need their frames repaired. I can bring a pitchfork and some garden lime. They also asked if anyone has extra tomato cages. I think I have about six that I can loan out. The watering schedule is still being worked out but they plan to set up a rotating signup sheet. Also the seed library is open on Saturdays now so we can pick up some basil and pepper starts. Let me know if you want to coordinate on what we each plant this year.
