I finally got around to organizing the garage over the weekend and it feels so much better. I found all sorts of things I had forgotten about, including that box of old vinyl records from my college days. Most of them are pretty scratched up, but they have a certain charm when you play them on the turntable. I also came across my old camping gear, which made me think we should plan a trip soon. The weather has been so nice lately, it feels like a waste not to be outside. Let me know if you're free next Saturday to go hiking or just hang out at the park. I'll bring some snacks and a frisbee. It'll be fun. Anyway, just wanted to share my small victory of finally cleaning that space out. Hope you're having a good week so far.

I started learning how to play the guitar again after taking a break for several years. It's been slow going, but I'm finally remembering the chord progressions and finger placements from when I used to play in high school. My fingertips are definitely feeling it, but it's a good kind of sore that reminds me I'm making progress. I've been following along with some online lessons and they're really helpful for building good habits. The instructor breaks everything down into small, repeatable steps, which makes the learning curve feel much more manageable. I can now play a few folk songs all the way through without stopping. My goal is to learn three complete songs by the end of the month and maybe record myself playing one to send over. It won't be perfect by any means, but it'll be a fun way to share my progress. Let me know if you have any song requests you'd like to hear. I'm always looking for new music to learn and practice.
