Thanks for your note about the grill maintenance schedule. I think we should aim to do a deep clean on the gas grill before the end of the month. The burners need to be brushed and the drip tray replaced. Last time we used it, the flames were uneven on the left side. I picked up a new wire brush and some mild degreaser that works well on the grates without leaving any residue. Also, the cover has a small tear near the handle, so we might want to replace that before the next rain. I found a heavy duty one online that should last longer. Let me know what day works for you to tackle this together. I am free most afternoons next week except Wednesday. We can grab lunch after if you want.

Regarding your question about the hiking trip next weekend, I think we should plan to start early Saturday morning to avoid the midday heat. The trailhead is about an hour from town so if we leave by six we should have plenty of time. I checked the weather forecast and it looks clear with highs around seventy five. We should bring plenty of water and some snacks. I can make a batch of trail mix with dried fruit and nuts. The loop trail we discussed is about five miles with some elevation gain but nothing too steep. There is a creek about halfway where we can stop and rest. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes since parts of the trail can be rocky. I will bring a small first aid kit just in case. Let me know if you want to carpool from my place.
